What Do You Expect?

What is your expectation for this day? How about this year or even for the rest of your life? Do you expect that everything is working together  on your behalf and for your favor? Are prosperity and abundance concepts that are money centric? How do you gauge success?

How satisfied are you in your life? Do you enjoy each day, each experience? Are you involved with activities that cause you to smile frequently and that make your heart sing? Are you blessed by wonderful friendships? Are your heart and mind open to Love?

There are no "right" or "wrong" answers. Take a breath and feel the truth of the statement. There are no "right" or "wrong" answers; there are only your answers in this moment.

I ask these questions of myself  because I appreciate questions that don't necessarily have easy answers. I love questions that help me discover and transform me and my world. Perhaps you are asking yourself some of these same things?

Rather than rush my own answers, I am guided to live in these questions for a while. My ponderings will emerge on June 5 in the Sunday lesson at Unity of Royal Oak - #MoreThanAChurch - A Center for Conscious Living

Peace on your journey,
Ric

Is Today the One Day?

Today, instead of spending countless hours watching news commentators dissect each moment and movement of the last week of Whitney Houston's life and creating stories about how/why she died; we actively looked for ways we could add some kindness to another persons life?

What if we each did what showed up for us to do? Check out this video:

What if we were aware enough to notice the opportunities that are showing up in our lives?

What if we stopped listening to political leaders trying to convince us that "they" have a plan to restore confidence/jobs/pride or the past glory of a bygone time--that only exists in retrospect anyway? What if we let go of thinking anyone else can fix the mess we are in but us?

What if we took a one day break from our agenda about the issues that seem to divide us and put the same energy into finding ways to work together for our common good?

What if we dropped out story about everyone else. What if we turned away from whatever it is that we think "they" should or shouldn't do about this, that or the other thing? What if we released needing to get anything and focused out attention on what we have to give?

What if we each laid our carefully crafted, hand painted, designer logo life aside for one day?
"My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends." ~Jesus (John 15:12-13)
What if we took matters into our own hands and unleashed Love in our world? What if we stop waiting for someone else to do it?

What if One Day is today?

Only Love,

Ric

Twelfth Day of Gratefulness

New Year 2005 trip to Anchorage, Alaska
On this Twelfth Day of Gratefulness, I am thinking of:
  1. Being up and awake to see this mornings glorious blue, purple, lavender sunrise.
  2. Having Friday's off
  3. Being part of a spiritual community that accepts and celebrates me as I am.
  4. Waking up with the car in the driveway
  5. My awesome neighbor Danny who mulched all the leaves in my yard.
  6. Buckwheat pancakes
  7. Fond memories of my last really went somewhere vacation to Anchorage Alaska in January of 2005.
  8. Not having to replenish coolant before every trip in my car.
  9. Not being concerned when the Warren PD pulled me over to check my ID (they thought I was someone with a warrant, NOT)
  10. Lots of projects to work on which prevents boredom.

Happy Birthday to these United States of America!

The  Ideas of religious freedom and self governance by the people launched a movement 235 years ago that continues to evolve. Thank you to those military & civilians who have paid with sweat & blood over the years for the freedoms we enjoy. We are not perfect and we are not finished yet. May America be a blessing now and always.

I say may America be a blessing because I often hear people say God Bless America. And yes, I too want God's Blessing on America and the entire planet. We are not separate from each other. All of the nations, people, life and this planet are interconnected on multiple levels.

Technology has made it possible to communicate with and, often, see and speak with almost anyone, anywhere at anytime. A couple of years ago, I officiated a wedding in Royal Oak Michigan that used Skype to link with the bride's family in Mongolia. They were able to be a part of the ceremony in real time. I met people in South Africa in 1997 that I regularly email, Facebook and Skype with. More than 500 million people are connected on Facebook alone. Of the worlds 6.9 billion people, 2.1 billion are Internet users.

Corporations span the globe, rapidly moving goods around the planet. Our economies are increasingly intertwined in complex ways. While global commerce has positive and negative aspects, we are still learning how to live on a massively integrated scale.

The ongoing movement of Spirit, by all the names and ways we understand It, is the ultimate connector. More and more, people are realizing that we are not separate beings with individual lives. Rather, we are individualization's of One life. We are part of one living organism called Life.

The rate of interconnections is increasing. Have you noticed? We can allow this transformation to drag us along or we can choose to be intentionally  involved with this exciting evolution in consciousness.

God Bless America and may America continue to be a blessing to all.
